The AMX NMX-ENC-N3132 is an AV-over-IP solution for WAN transmissions. It uses the H.264 compression algorithm and achieves remarkable image quality despite low bandwidth. Due to the low bandwidth, up to 1,000 streams can be transmitted simultaneously, even with a 1 Gbit/s transfer rate. Because of this, the encoder is suitable for applications in which the signal must be transmitted over long distances to devices with minimum available bandwidths. This makes it possible for video streaming over the internet. By using standardised H.264 compression the streams can be broadcast on any device that supports this standard; including displays, PCs, tablets and smartphones.
